Submit a verification request to the three credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) to correct, remove, or update information that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable from your credit report in accordance to the law.

Fair Credit Reporting Act § 611 (15 U.S.C § 1681I) (a) (1) If the completeness or accuracy of any item of information contained in the consumer`s file at a consumer reporting agency is disputed by the consumer and consumer notifies the agency directly or indirectly through the reseller, of such dispute, the agency shall, free of charge, conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine whether the disputed information is inaccurate and record the current status of the dispute information, or delete the item from the file in accordance with paragraph (5), before the end of the 30-day period beginning on the date on which the agency receives the notice of the dispute from the consumer or reseller.

IF NECESSARY - Submit a re-investigation request to the three credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) of the inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, and unverifiable information that remains listed in your credit report.

Fair Credit Reporting Act § 611 (15 U.S.C § 1681I) (5) (A) In general. If, after the reinvestigation under paragraph (1) of any information disputed by a consumer, an item of the information is found to be inaccurate or incomplete or cannot be verified, the consumer reporting agency shall-(i) promptly delete that item of information form the file of the consumer, or modify that item of information, as appropriate, based on the results of the investigations; and (ii) promptly notify the furnisher of that information that the information has been modified or deleted from the file of the consumer.

IF NECESSARY - Submit a verification request with the source reporting the information that remains listed in your credit report.

 

Fair Debt Collection Practices Act § 809. Validation of debts (a) (4) a statement that if the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, the debt collector will obtain verification of the debt or a copy of a judgment against the consumer and a copy of such verification or judgment will be mailed to the consumer by the debt collector; and (5) a statement that, upon the consumer's written request within the thirty- day period, the debt collector will provide the consumer with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor.
